Após o enorme sucesso da primeira das POST2000TALKS, a GALERIA LUÍS SERPA PROJECTOS tem o prazer de anunciar a segunda Conversa [TALK], apresentando o ZOETROPE DESIGNSTUDIO no dia 23 Novembro 2010, Terça-feira, pelas 18h30. As POST2000TALKS são organizadas por JA-PROJECT e think-tank NOGO, ambos sedeados em Lisboa, Portugal.
1. THE PROJECT
POST2000TALKS é um ciclo de conferências que tem como tema a Arquitectura, iniciando-se em Lisboa, desde o Outono 2010, em paralelo com a Trienal Internacional de Arquitectura de Lisboa 2010. O seu objectivo é evidenciar a troca de experiências de arquitectura a nível global. Os Convidados representam a geração de jovens profissionais que iniciaram a sua prática de escritório/ pesquisa a partir do ano 2000. O Programa é definido por um alinhamento contínuo de Conversas [TALK], Apresentações de Projectos e Debates. POST2000TALKS é uma colaboração entre o JA-PROJECT e o think-tank NOGO, sendo acolhido pela Galeria Luis Serpa Projectos, todos sedeados em Lisboa.

Sobre Zoetrope Design Studio:
“Fundado em 2008 pelos sócios Loren Supp e Daria Supp, o Zoetrope DesignStudio, sedeado em Nova Iorque, é uma prática de pesquisa em arquitectura. O atelier tem como base de trabalho a experimentação com técnicas de design emergentes e a sua aplicação numa prática contemporânea.”
Antes de fundar o Zoetrope DesignStudio, Loren Supp e Daria Supp, em 2005, obtiveram o Mestrado em Arquitectura na Universidade de Pennsylvania, Estados Unidos da América. Desde essa altura, ganharam diversos prémios, tais como o Prémio Paul Philipe Cret e o ASLA Prize Award of Merit tendo trabalhado em vários ateliers de arquitectura internacionalmente reconhecidos, como o Bernard Tschumi Architects, Mecanoo Architecten, Lyn Rice Architects, Ennead Architects (ex Parceria Polshek) e Populous.

5. A ORGANIZAÇÃO
JA-PROJECT é um estúdio de Arquitectura, Design e Visualização 3D sedeado em Lisboa. Foi fundado, em 2010, por Jutta Rentsch e André Serpa numa parceria com O MUSEU TEMPORÁRIO, com o objectivo de combinar as práticas de Arquitectura, Design e Visualização 3D, criando um processo transdisciplinar e uma estrutura open office. O conceito baseia-se em parcerias no âmbito das Indústrias Criativas e colaborações em curso com arquitectos e designers. Tendo a Arquitectura e a Visualização 3D como core business, o JA-PROJECT organiza e produz também Eventos e Exposições como Actividades de Extensão. Dado que, antes de fundarem JA-PROJECT, ambos os sócios trabalharam para ateliers de renome internacional, construíram ligações com muitos parceiros inovadores e criativos pelo mundo inteiro, expandindo, desta forma o seu âmbito de intervenção.

NOGO THINK-TANK AND PROJECT-ROOM é uma Plataforma para Arquitectura & Arte Contemporânea sedeada em Lisboa [Portugal]. O seu objectivo é a divulgação e exibição da nova produção no domínio das Artes Visuais e da Arquitectura Emergente a nível nacional e internacional. Através da sua transversalidade temática, NOGO propõe uma programação dinâmica e diversificada produzindo exposições, visualizações, palestras e publicações de diferentes projectos artísticos, culturais, experimentais e de pesquisa. A sua estrutura é composta por um núcleo de comissários residentes, recebendo também convidados para eventos pontuais. Baseada numa filosofia de agregação transdisciplinar, NOGO procura estabelecer parcerias com outras entidades, plataformas e produtoras no âmbito das suas áreas de interesse. NOGO é uma marca registada e uma Associação Cultural sem fins lucrativos fundada por Pedro Duarte Bento em 2009.
6. O ANFITRIÃO:
GALERIA LUIS SERPA PROJECTOS foi fundada por Luís Serpa no início dos anos oitenta. Desenvolvida como um modelo original de Galeria de Arte, foi considerada um case study por combinar sistematicamente a pintura, escultura, desenho, instalação, fotografia, vídeo, design e arquitectura. Contribuiu para a internacionalização de artistas como Cristina Iglesias, Juan Muñoz, José María Sicilia, Ferran Garcia Sevilla, Julião Sarmento, Pedro Cabrita Reis e Jorge Molder, entre outros. Reconhecidos artistas internacionais foram apresentados em Portugal tais como Leiko Ikemura, Joseph Kosuth, Gerhard Merz, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Gilberto Zorio, Hamish Fulton, Robert Wilson, Robert Mapplethorpe, Marie-Jo Lafontaine, Craigie Horsfield, Boyd Webb, John Coplans e/ou Cindy Sherman.

Elabora, ainda, Planos Estratégicos em diversas áreas, colaborando com Entidades Públicas no âmbito da Revitalização Urbana e com Privados em Coaching Criativo. Para Museus e Centros de Arte, Conferências e Convenções, Feiras, Exposições e Espectáculos, Empresas e Organizações Públicas, disponibiliza apoio especializado e equipamento tecnológico avançado idealmente adequados à realização de qualquer projecto na área multimédia e audiovisual.

After the great success of the first Lecture of POST2000TALKS, the GALERIA LUIS SERPA PROJECTOS is pleased to announce the second Lecture, presenting ZOETROPE DESIGNSTUDIO on November 23rd 2010 Tuesday, at 6.30pm. POST2000TALKS is organized by JA-PROJECT and think
tank NOGO, both based in Lisbon , Portugal
1. THE PROJECT
POST2000TALKS is cycle of conferences architecture related starting in Lisbon during Fall 2010, parallel to the ongoing city major event 'Triennal of Architecture of Lisbon'. Its purpose is the display and exchange of different architecture experiences worldwide. The guests represent a generation of young professionals whom started their own office/research practices after the year 2000. The program is defined by a continuous line-up of lectures, presentations and debates. POST2000TALKS is a collaboration between JA-Project and the think-tank NOGO, and hosted by Galeria Luis Serpa Projectos, all based in Lisbon.

About Zoetrope Design Studio:
“Founded by partners Loren Supp and Daria Supp in 2008, Zoetrope DesignStudio is a research-based architecture practice, located in New York City. The studio is engaged in experimentation with emerging design techniques and their application in contemporary practice.”
Prior to founding Zoetrope Design Studio, Loren Supp and Daria Supp graduated their Master Degree in Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania, United States in 2005. Since that time they won several prizes, such as the Paul Philipe Cret Prize and the ASLA Prize Award of Merit and worked for numerous internationally renowned architecture offices like Bernard Tschumi Architects, Mecanoo Architecten, Lyn Rice Architects, Ennead Architects (former Polshek Partnership) and Populous.

5. THE ORGANIZATION
JA-PROJECT is a Lisbon based studio for Architecture, Design and 3D Visualization. It was established in 2010 by Jutta Rentsch and André Serpa in a partnership with O MUSEU TEMPORARIO, to combine their practices with the goal of creating a transdisciplinary process and open office structure. This concept is based on partnerships within the Creative Industries and on ongoing collaborations with other architects and designers. Having Architecture and 3D Visualization as a core business, JA-PROJECT also organizes and produces Events and Exhibitions as an extension activity. Since both partners have been working for international renowned offices prior to founding JA-PROJECT, they are linked with many innovative and creative partners around the world, expanding their range of intervention.

NOGO THINK-TANK AND PROJECT-ROOM is a platform for Architecture & Contemporary Art based in Lisbon, Portugal. Its goal is the disclosure and exhibition of new production on Visual Arts and emergent Architecture, both at national and international levels. Through its concept, NOGO proposes a dynamic and diversified program producing exhibitions, screenings, lectures and publications on artistic, cultural, experimental and research projects. Its structure is made by a core of resident curators, also receiving invited curators for occasional events. NOGO is a registered brand, and a non-profit cultural association founded by Pedro Duarte Bento in 2009.
6. THE HOST:
GALERIA LUIS SERPA PROJECTOS was founded by Luis Serpa in the early eighties. Developed as an original model of art gallery, it was considered as a “case study” because it systematically combined the disciplines of painting, sculpture, drawing, installation, photography, video, design and architecture. He internationalized artists such as Cristina Iglesias, Juan Muñoz, José María Sicilia, Ferran Garcia Sevilla, Juliao Sarmento, Pedro Cabrita Reis and Jorge Molder among others. Well known foreign artists has been presented in Portugal, such as Leiko Ikemura, Joseph Kosuth, Gerhard Merz, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Gilberto Zorio, Hamish Fulton, Robert Wilson, Robert Mapplethorpe, Marie-Jo Lafontaine, Craigie Horsfield, Boyd Webb, John Coplans and Cindy Sherman.

7.1 O MUSEU TEMPORÁRIO, conceives, coordinates and produces Contents to Events, or Cultural Equipments, cooperating with Galleries, Cultural Centers and Museums (in Portugal and Abroad), setting itself up as a genuine Generator Centre of Ideas. Also elaborates Strategic Plans in several areas, collaborating with Public Entities within the Urban Revitalization and with Private Entities in Creative Coaching.
To Museums and Art Centers, Conferences, Conventions, Fairs, Exhibitions and Shows offers specialized support and advanced technological equipment ideally suited for the realization of any project in the multimedia audiovisual area.
7.2 INDUSCRIA is a platform for Creative Industries [Antiques and Patrimony, Performing Arts and Entertainment, Visual Arts, Architecture, Cinema and Video, Design, Publishing and Edition, Gastronomy, Fashion, Music, Advertising, Educational Software and Leisure, Television and Radio] to host new talents and innovative projects, within the nurturing of the New Creative Class matching Art, Technology and Entrepreneurship.
